GTT sends out a big "thank you" to our many clients for putting their trust in us since 1983. Long-term relationships are a testament to good service, fair fees, tax savings and success with the IRS. We seek 20-year – and longer – relationships with all our clients.

In late 1983 at age 28, Robert Green left a career at a Big Four accounting firm to establish his own CPA firm, Green & Company CPAs. The first office was at 521 Fifth Ave, New York, NY. Our initial clients were successful traders, money managers and brokers in the securities, commodities and foreign exchange markets. Even though we were based in New York City, we had many clients from around the world.

In 1997, Green & Company CPAs and newly formed Green & Company Inc. led the revolution for online traders to adopt the new trader tax laws passed in 1997. Fantastic growth in the use of the Internet required that we change our business model from a private boutique CPA firm catering to a small, wealthy client base to one that accommodated thousands of traders, hedge fund managers and others all around the country. Green & Company has grown consistently with full quality control to meet the needs of our growing ranks of clientele.

With your support, we are proud to have built a market leadership position in the trader tax space, one we leveraged well for a strong position in hedge fund professional services.

We also thank and appreciate the help of our prestigious alliance members, the media and several online communities.
