Every year since 1999, Barron's recommended our trader tax services, trader tax guides and our new GTT TradeLog software. Barron's also positively mentioned our alliance with direct-access brokers to power their tax centers.

Robert A. Green, CPA was interviewed by CNBC and appeared in a story on CNBC Business Center in 1999 about traders not receiving the information they need from online and direct access brokers.

GTT has been the respected source for trader tax matters in Fortune for several stories over the years.

The media recognized GTT as having the only full trader tax solution for active traders. See below the media details about this problem and how it was solved by GTT.

Barron's and CNBC address a key problem for traders and credit GTT with the best trader tax solution. Barron's and CNBC featured Robert A. Green, CPA, in several stories highlighting a "missing tax link" between brokers and their trader clients. The missing link is that many online brokers and direct-access brokers don't currently provide sufficient tax information and tax reporting to their active trader customers. Their trader customers are lost at tax time and they end up not receiving all the tax benefits they are entitled to under the new trader tax laws.

GTT has been listening and recently entered alliances with two leading direct-access brokers to fix this "missing link" problem. GTT entered alliances with Schwab's CyberTrader and Terra Nova Trading to build and power their new Tax Centers for active traders. These direct-access brokers are also offering GTT TradeLog, our software program, to import and reconcile trading transactions.

A Barron's June 2, 2001, article on direct-access brokers ranked Terra Nova second out of a dozen direct-access brokers. One of the positive factors in the Barron's ranking was GTT's new Tax Center for Terra Nova: "Terra Nova recently rolled out a tax-information page, which will feature columns by day-trading tax experts."
